Has anyone else learned the hard way that warming up prior to swinging a golf club is REALLY important. Ever just walked up to the tee and took a swing and had all kinds of things start hurting? I have, and it ain't fun! All you really have to do is a few simple stretches.
Here is what I do. I grab a driver and very slowly turn my shoulders, gradually working up to full turns. Then I will squat and do some shoulder sideways rotations. I can really feel the stretch in my sides. Take a seat and just do some legs stretches for a minute or two. Then I take a short iron and make some very slow swings both forward and backwards.
After 5 minutes of these various stretches you will feel much loser and your blood will be flowing. This small time investment can really help prevent injury.
